So with all of this talk of blog house and DJs downloading tracks off of blogs the morning of and playing it that night, electronic music visionary David Day had a pretty ingenious idea. Instant DJ Network. You download the mix as soon as it’s done and play it right then and

Talk about bringing memories back...I was at this party, too! I went to all the Respect parties at Twilo, even when they moved it upstairs to the tiny lounge upstairs. Every month, around the 20th, I would get so excited about going to Twilo for Respect. This night was off the hook! I think just as good as this night was when Les Rythmes Digitales played a live set, and the second they hit their last note, Thomas Bangalter got on the decks and scratched the opening of the Roger Sanchez mix of "Revolution 909". Those nights were pure magic for me when I was 19. I've been hitting up Respect on myspace, begging them to come back to NY. Hopefully one day...

oh my god, this shit brings me back. it makes me want to jump up and down non-stop for like about 1 hour straight.

Yo, but seriously, my most memorable night at twilo was when Cream did their first night in NYC with Doc Martin opening for Carl Cox. The moment of the night was when Carl played "rock and roll" by Daft. It was so ill because I had never heard that song on a sound system like that, the crowd was bananas.

I'd also not been to a club that was that full of people and that large.

THANK YOU FOR THIS MIX. AWESOME!!

thanks for all the <3.

sooo..there is a part 2 somewhere and i'm trying to get a hold of a decent copy (mine is corrupted).

as for the beastie boys vs. alan braxe, my copy of it on vinyl just has a printed white mailing label that says "beastiality" on it.

i know a few more of those tracks..so i should probably add to the listing. :)
