So with all of this talk of blog house and DJs downloading tracks off of blogs the morning of and playing it that night, electronic music visionary David Day had a pretty ingenious idea. Instant DJ Network. You download the mix as soon as it’s done and play it right then and there in the club. You trade tracks with other people playing in other places.

In a way it’s already happening, like when I said to Frog, I wish someone would make an edit of this eternally effervescent Nightcrawlers track.

I love how sometimes when you wish for things, they just magically appear.

I’ve been imeeming (ghostdad.imeem.com) a little lately. Their idea might not be so far off from this. You can add any track anyone has uploaded to your playlists, or go ahead and nab someones entire playlist. kind of like a mix tape you can trade individual tracks from. add some of those online audio mixing wing dings people are fucking with now and you might be looking at some powerfull shit. you should get DWWG to come play Boston. I’ve heard his shit before and he knows what’s good. Perhaps the next sweaty ass advocate party? shit was of the chainnnnn.

I’m still somewhat skeptical about streaming, but maybe that’s me. Also, if you’re streaming from a club and then it starts stalling to buffer–bad situation.

But yeah, definitely a start. Also, check Wayne’s great post about imeem and Juke music.
